As some of you might know, I spent the better part of my formable years on a dairy farm as a short haired tomboy; then later, a long haired tomboy. It's true what they say, 'You can take the girl off the farm, but you can't take the farm out of the girl." So it's no wonder I've been completely obsessed with this blog about a city gal who fell in love with a cowboy and traded her heels for some tractor wheels.
I love good photography and aspire to someday take a picture worthy of my own self imposed compliments. But a good picture of some happy-happy cows? Wow, now that's hella impressive. Prairie Woman does it all. She cooks, takes great pics, knows her way around PhotoShop, and shovels manure. I've now extended my girl crush to include not only the food-porn star Nigella Lawson, but Prairie Woman.
PW even has a download section where those of us like me, who long to get away from the big city and live the country life. No, you aren't downloading a trip to a dude ranch, complete with a cheesy bandanna and some designer boots you plan on passing off as the real deal. Instead, you can download and print kick-ass pictures of life on the farm.
And because I'd have to return my stalker ID card if I didn't share...I'm providing you with her secret Flickr page. (Ok, so it's not-so-secret, I can pretend, can't I?)
I've been a fan of Pioneer Woman for a while and even have her calendar. It's offset by the vintage paris calendar since I like to share the love. :) I think her photography is amazing since the photos look like you could just step right into them.
